cievents’ parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group, has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for the ninth year running.
Climbing six places from last year, Flight Centre Travel Group has been awarded an exceptional 12th place by the Great Place to Work® Institute. This is the company’s highest ranking since 2013.
In addition, cievents UK was recognised as a centre of ‘Excellence in Wellbeing’. This was as a result of employee feedback on work environment, mental and physical health, financial security, interpersonal relationships, work-life balance and fulfilment at work.
The Great Place to Work Institute UK is part of the world’s largest consultancy specialising in workplace assessment and optimisation. This means it has unrivalled insight into what makes an organisation’s employees tick and how leaders can improve their business performance by understanding and improving their workplace culture.
“We are so proud to recognised for being a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the ninth year running. A focus on our people is one of our guiding philosophies, and we are constantly looking for ways to build on our excellent culture,” said Lucy Francis, General Manager at cievents UK.
This year, over 8,000 companies competed for the opportunity to be named as one of the UK’s great places to work. Flight Centre Travel Group was recognised in the large organisation category (companies with 500+ employees) and is the only travel management company to make the 2019 list.
“By supporting our team at work, but also in their wider health, financial and life aspirations we are able to create an environment where people feel truly supported in everything they do,” continued Francis.
Flight Centre Travel Group was rigorously assessed in terms of the company’s values and ethics; communication and involvement; teamwork; recognition; and empowerment and accountability. This process involved an extensive Trust Index© Survey among employees which is designed to measure staff perception of the quality of their workplace relationships with management, with their jobs and with other employees. Flight Centre Travel Group’s results were outstanding in every category, with survey scores soaring far above the UK average.
