cievents was asked to manage the Woolworths National Conference in Melbourne, a role that included providing conference event management, event production, entertainment and dining experiences for more than 3200 registered delegates.
The ci Solution
cievents kicked off the week’s event by coordinating the Woolworths Limited Corporate Opener – a three and a half hour interactive session that involved more than 100 actors and a series of tailor-made videos presented on six LED screens.
During the conference, cievents also literally made history, when we organised a successful bid to break the Guinness World Record for the largest ever fitness circuit class. More than 2,000 people took part in the once-in-a-lifetime event, throwing themselves into the biggest 30-minute trainer-led circuit class the world has ever seen.
"I didn't want today to end without saying thanks again for all the blood, sweat and tears that got us to a spectacularly successful Conference"
Of course, one of the best ways to keep a crowd happy is to provide them with great food and beverage. That’s why cievents went above and beyond to deliver a number of incredible dining experiences for those in attendance at the Woolworths conference.
Two themed lunches were provided, which each saw more than 3,000 square metres of the main foyer of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre turned into a grassy outdoor picnic area overnight!
Later that week, cievents transformed the South Wharf Promenade into a pop-up street festival.
It took five days for cievents to put together this entertainment zone, but the result was well worth the effort. With more than 45,000 pieces of food served across eight venues and three hours of live entertainment provided, everyone in attendance went home buzzing over being present at such an incredible dining experience.
