cievents shortlisted for Incentive of the Year at C&IT Awards.
Event management agency cievents has been shortlisted for Incentive of the Year at the C&IT Awards for Flight Centre Travel Group’s Global Gathering in Berlin.
Global Gathering is an iconic world-class event with a cult following in the travel industry, with Flight Centre Travel Group employees aspiring to claim their spot at this ultimate incentive reward event each year. With over 3,000 attendees from across the globe, it’s the world’s largest travel industry conference and a key driver for the overall success of the company’s annual business result.
cievents has produced FCTG’s Global Gathering for over 15 years, and the nomination for Incentive of the Year recognises 2018’s Global Gathering was the company’s biggest success yet.

“We had to overcome a number of obstacles including landing an A380 at Berlin Airport when it had never been done before, dispatching 75 coaches at one time and negotiating rates with suppliers in EURO.
“The experience and skills of our events team ensured that any issue big or small was met head on, and we produced what will go down in history as one of the best Global Gatherings of all time.”
Berlin’s event was made even more memorable, with cievents securing international talent such as Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Kylie Minogue, Jonas Blue, Duke Dumont, Aloe Blacc and Thor himself – Chris Hemsworth. The all-star line-up and flawless event execution helped secure cievents a near perfect score card, with 95.5% of respondents highly rating the overall event experience.
The shortlisting for the prestigious C&IT Awards has been met with applause across the global cievents business.

The C&IT Awards are judged by an even split of event professionals from UK agencies, global agencies, corporates, associations and industry bodies that come together to discuss, and sometimes debate, the entries put forward. Winners will be recognised for their outstanding achievements and creativity by the most engaging brand in the MICE industry.
The awards presentation and dinner will take place on Friday 20 September 2019 at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London.
