EVENT International Cook-off LOCATION Loire Valley, France ATTENDEES 25 Task To organise a celebratory 2 day, 1 night event in the South of France for the grand final of an international cooking competition. Although the event centered around the competition, CiEvents UK was entrusted with the task of producing invitations and co-ordinating logistics for the delegates. CiEvents Strategy
The first stage was to design and produce bespoke invitations, travel wallets and luggage tags with the Lambs lettuce (a type of lettuce leaf grown in the Loire valley) theme in 3 different languages. The next step was to organise travel from several European cities to the remote region of France where the competion was taking place - this was a combination of air, rail and road. Due to the unique nature of the event, the accommodation chosen by CiEvents was a restoed 13th century Abbey, this is also where a welcome drinks and formal dinner took place on the first night.
The Results The feedback from the event was extremely positive with the event running smoothly from start to finish. This was the first event of its kind that the client had organised and due to the huge success, they ran the event again 10 months later and CiEvents was again appointed as the Event Management company to run the event.
