Task

Bring together the company directors and franchise owners from a leading restaurant chain globally in a location where this company had recently opened a new restaurant. The event has a conference component although needs to take the form of an incentive to enable the attendees to network and liaise with one another in a relaxed environment.   

CiEvents Strategy

CiEvents selected a boutique hotel, the Londa Hotel in Cyprus to ensure guests were given the VIP treatment.  The Hotel is situated along sixteen kilometres of Mediterranean coastline in limassol. Guests convened in the relaxed environment of the Resort for the first day and dined offsite in an eighty year old restored house to soak up some of the old Cypriot charm. A sailing regatta on the Mediterranean was on the agenda for the next day's activities although the elements were against us, as CiEvents had a number of contingencies in place for inclement weather the transition of activity was seamless. The guests were none the wiser and enjoyed an action packed team building day at an offsite venue tackling a number of obstacles and indulging in plenty of laughter. Some free time was also factored in for guests to explore the island at their leisure, take a visit to the new store, network with their colleagues or indulge in a treatment in the Spa. Guests were transferred to the authentic Wine Museum for their gala dinner with exclusive use of the venue, guests were given the opportunity to learn the history of wine making in Cyprus and to taste some of the locals finest drops, traditional dancers and live Cypriot music were provided throughout the evening to keep guests entertained.

The Result

The event was a resounding success and CiEvents have gone on to manage a number of other events within separate business units as a result. The CEO was very complimentary of the services provided by CiEvents and the authentic nature of the program worked well in conjunction with the opening of their new restaurant in the destination.
